Materials & Resources
Pennsylvania's CIP, in collaboration with many committed professionals throughout the state, played a role in creating the following training materials and resources:
Pennsylvania Dependency Court Guiding Principles & Mission Statement
This document, created by the Pennsylvania Children's Roundtable and supported by the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judge's Commission, the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare - Office of Children, Youth and Families, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania - Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts and the Pennsylvania County Commissioner's Association was adopted by the State Roundtable on May 29, 2009. The document provides an overview of the purpose, mission and principles that should govern Pennsylvania's Dependency system under the overarching statement "Families 4 Children". The ultimate goal of this effort is to ensure permanent, safe, loving and stable homes for all dependent children. Click here for Pennsylvania's Guiding Principles.
Pennsylvania Permanency Practice Initiative Tool kit
The toolkit is currently in development and will be a valuable resource to participating counties. When complete, the toolkit will be a comprehensive guide for Permanency Practice Initiative (PPI) counties that outlines detailed information about PPI practices including: FGDM, FF, FDC, 3-5-7 Model, 3 Month Review Hearings, Local Roundtables and CPCMS. The toolkit will also serve as a resource guide for leadership roundtable members and include information on current PPI projects and subcommittees.
